Ever hear your parents or grandparents reminisce about fun Summer nights at the outdoor Drive-in Theater? Well today's version of great outdoor family-night entertainment leads you to 4 uniquely different Haverford Township Parks ...

Load up the car with friends, family, blankets, and lawn chairs and enjoy free outdoor concerts as dusk creeps up on the day.  Arrive early, and just like the old Drive-in movies, the kids will play games, throw Frisbees and do line dances with friends while the musicians tune up on stage, waiting for twilight and stragglers to arrive.

The Road Dogs band features your favorite songs from the 60's, 70's, and 80's
and will perform July 25th at Hilltop/Steel Field.
Pull up a piece of lawn at one of the following  neighborhood parks. where the music is cool and admission is free ;)
However donations are appreciated and go to support other local associations and civic groups.

  • Concerts start at 7 PM, gates open at 6 PM.
  • Concessions are available for sale at each concert.
  • Please bring your own lawn chairs and blankets.
  • Carry in, carry out.

Wondering how to surprise your kids this summer?

Combine a little history with snacks, stars and cars!
A couple of summers ago my brother was visiting from out of state,
and instead of watching movies on TV we packed up the car
with some of our favorite snacks and headed for Becky's Drive-In
in Walnutport, a tiny burg in the Lehigh Valley.
Kids were having a blast with their parents, and I never saw a
single cell phone! We reminisced, polished off a bag of M&Ms
and relished the experience of seeing stars not only on screen...
but overhead!  Becky's Drive In
