On May 4th The Sanderson Museum, celebrating its 50th anniversary, will unveil a new exhibit on the personal relationship between the Wyeth and Sanderson families through paintings, drawings, letters and photographs.


According to Chuck Ulmann, Sanderson Museum Curator... “It’s exciting to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Sanderson Museum by uncovering previously unseen letters, photos and artwork of three generations of Wyeths ‘unplugged.’  We are happy to share details of the quiet and intimate 62-year friendship between Chris Sanderson and the Wyeth family.”

  • Chris and Andrew Wyeth playing 
  • Robert Montgomery, the actor, Andrew Wyeth and Jamie Wyeth standing on the porch of the “Little Gray House” that would become the Christian Sanderson Museum
Letters between Wyeth and the Sanderson Family include:
