Just as northern birds head south for the winter, people from all over the east migrate to Longwood Gardens every holiday season, lured by a half million holiday lights and breathtaking garden decorations.

There are more than 6,000 seasonal plants and 50 trees adorned with sparkling red, gold, and green glass ornaments—including a 30-foot floral tree created with hundreds of vibrant red poinsettias.

This year's theme is The Sounds of the Season, a musically-inspired display showcasing:
  • A towering 18-foot Fraser Fir exquisitely decorated with a garland of real musical instruments takes center stage in their elegant Music Room.
  • Daily sing-alongs and special performances fill the Conservatory with festive cheer.
  • Children love the Garden Railway Experience!
  • And outside, the sounds of oohs and aahs fill the air as illuminated stars twinkle above, colorful fountains dance to holiday music, and a half-million lights brighten the night.
