Nobody's ever too old or too sophisticated for a Pirate Festival... especially when its got Mermaids, Cannon-fire, Chatty Parrots and Singing Pirates. (There's 4 things I never thought I'd say in the same sentence!)

So bring the family to Marcus Hook's 8th Annual Pirate Festival, Saturday the 17th at Market Square Memorial Park. There's no admission fee and the parking is free.

Adults and kids alike helped this film franchise gross
more than $3.73 billion dollars - making it the 11th
highest-grossing film series of all-time.
Johnny Depp made a lot of money from people like us who poured into theaters to see Pirates of the Caribbean.  Not once, not twice...but four times! (FYI - Number five is due out in May of 2017)

So grab your little swabbies and spend the day looking for the Black Pearl on the Banks of the Delaware River in Marcus Hook!

Apparenently your're never too young
to drive a ship. Especially on land!

This full pirate encampment includes historian guided tours of Marcus Hook's legendary Plank House - a suspected Pirate hideout during the daring seafaring days of 18th century

> Plus see cool 18th century life-style demonstrations

Browse tents bursting with period wares, firearms, cannons and beer making

> There will be games, food, face painting, pony rides, a petting zoo, and artisan crafters

> Plus live pirate music and their infamous beer garden

Minnow, the Mermaid will also be there, along with Catey Hill from WJBR 99.5, who will host the event from 12 to 4pm.

All funds raised during this event go towards the ongoing restoration project of the historic Plank House, aka Blackbeard's Mistress's House.

Plus Bring the Family to Friday Night's Pirate Pig Roast on the 16th.
Arrrgh! There's nothing like a Pig Roast to get you in mood for a festival... and if you've never been to one, it's a blast for everybody but the pig :)  It's also an important fundraiser for the Preservation Society, so do something fun and different on a Friday night...all for a great cause!
Me-thinks the Parrot will be more chatty than the Pirates
when they sail into Market Square Memorial Park on the 17th!
