Delco Sports Fans Get a little Crazy in September.
Most People Smell Autumn in the Air...

But Delco Football fans smell pigskin, mud and hot dogs!  And many of them will be chowing down on those dogs when Villanova kicks off their season with home games on Sept. 10th (6pm) vs. Towson, and the 17th (3:30pm) vs. Lehigh

Tim Murtaugh, grandson of Danny Murtaugh, is presenting
Jim Vankoski, curator of the SPorts Legends of Delaware
County (SDLC) museum, the jersey his grandfather wore
when the Pirates (then managed by Danny) defeated the NY
Yankees in a game in which Bill Mazeroski hit his historic
seventh-game walk-off home run.
Delco Phillies fans can't catch a whiff of the playoffs :(  But their love of the game might draw them to the Delco Sports Legends Museum in Radnor on September 3rd, for the opening of an exciting new Danny Murtaugh Exhibit.

Tim Murtaugh has donated his grandfather's jersey from a legendary game in which Bill Mazeroski hit his historic seventh-game walk-off home run. His grand-dad, Danny, was the Pirate's team manager at the time!

Check out the jersey on Saturday, September 3rd, from 10 am to 12 pm at the Mickey Vernon Gallery on the first floor of the SLDC museum. And be sure to get your tickets now for October 8th's Danny Murtaugh Making History Gala.  For ticket info, contact Jim Vankoski 610-909-4919 or go to Sports Legends Museum of Delaware County.

Become an Aston Rebels Billet Family!

The Aston Rebels are seeking host families for players in the upcoming 2016-17 season.

Part of their commitment to the team's players and their parents, is to help provide them with a good home. Players range in age from 16 – 20 and will be training daily on and off the ice as they pursue their goal of playing collegiate hockey. While the family will receive some financial compensation, the ultimate reward is developing relationships that often carry on for many years well after the player has left the team.
