Topping September's Concert Calendar at Upper Darby's Tower Theater are 3 acts that span more than 70 years of chart-topping music.

Beach Boys Co-founder, Brian Wilson --   Aerosmith lead singer and rock icon, Steven Tyler --  and Sir Thomas Jones Woodward (the gravelly, sexy-toned Grammy winning pop singer, Tom Jones!)

STEVEN TYLER: Wednesday, September 7th - 8pm

Touted as one of Rolling Stones' Top 100 Greatest Singers, this high energy, 'Demon of Screamin" is best known as the lead singer of the Boston-based rock band Aerosmith which rose to prominence in the 1970s with hard rock albums like Toys in the Attic and Rocks with hit singles like "Dream On," Sweet Emotion" and "Walk This Way."

  • Then there were multi-platinum albums Permanent Vacation, Pump, Get a Grip and Nine Lives, which produced a combined thirteen Top 40 singles 
  • In 2015 he released the country single "Love Is Your Name", followed by the second single "Red, White & You"; his debut solo album, We're All Somebody from Somewhere, was released in 2016.

TOM JONES: Tuesday, September 20th - 8pm
Tom Jones is a Welsh singer and one of the most popular vocalists to emerge from the mid-1960s, selling more than 100 million records.

Jones had thirty-six Top 40 hits including "It's Not Unusual", "What's New Pussycat", "Delilah", "Green, Green Grass of Home", "She's a Lady", "Kiss", and "Sex Bomb".

In 1966 he won a Grammy for Best New Artist, followed by an MTV award in 1989, two Brit Awards and a Best British Male Singer in 2000. He recently coached new talent on the BBC TV show THE VOICE UK and was Knighted by Queen Elizabeth II for services to music in 2006.

BRIAN WILSON: Friday, September 23rd - 8pm

Rock and Roll Hall-of-Famer Brian Wilson is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer best known for being the multi-tasking leader and co-founder of the Beach Boys. After signing with Capitol Records in 1962, Wilson wrote or co-wrote more than two dozen Top 40 hits for the group.

In the mid-1960s, Wilson composed, arranged and produced Pet Sounds (1966), considered one of the greatest albums ever made. 

John Cusack portrayed Wilson in the movie "Love & Mercy"
Like Tyler, Brian is in Rolling Stones' 100 Greatest Singers of All Time -- as well as their Top 100 Producers and their Top 100 Greatest Songwriters!

He won Grammy Awards for Brian Wilson Presents Smile (2004) and The Smile Sessions (2011) and his life was portrayed in the biopic Love & Mercy, released in 2015.
