Irish or not, we all wear green, celebrate the plucky Leprechaun, drink green ale and tell tall tale tales.  We're willing to kiss a stone...sing an olde Irish song (after many mugs of the green ale) and in general, have a heck of a time.

But before we get to Maggie O'Neill's and Tip O'Leary's adult events -- don't miss the Parade!

String Bands,  Military Groups, Scouts, Choirs and more at this year's Springfield Township Irish Parade
Saturday, March 12th - Starting at Noon (Rain or Shine)
The parade starts at West Springfield and Britton Roads and ends at the reviewing stand at the Old Central School on Saxer Avenue and Powell Road.

The Grand Marshall is Dr. William McCusker, former President of Cardinal O'Hara High
School -- and there will be marching bands, string bands, several pipe bands, a brass band from Reading, PA and a high school band from Donegal, Ireland!
Plus Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops, military groups, choirs and more.

March 5th  Pre-Parade Fundraiser
Members of the Watson Highlanders Bagpipers
Help raise parade funds at a Social Afternoon at Maggie O'Neill's on Saturday March 5th.  Meet the Grand Marshall and enjoy live Irish music by local performers and the Watson Highlanders Bagpipers.

Admission is free -- BUT TELL YOUR SERVER YOU'RE SUPPORTING THE PARADE...and a portion of your bar, restaurant or take out check will be donated to the Parade Committee!

Irish Fun at Maggie O'Neill's Irish Pub & Restaurant in Drexel Hill

When celebrating St. Patrick's Day with friends, always start with a toast like " May you be in heaven half an hour before the devil knows you're dead!"

But here's my favorite:

The Round Tower Irish Band
"May your troubles be as few and as far apart as my Grandmother's teeth!"

(As you might have guessed, I picked this toast up at a pub last St. Pat's Day - granny wasn't amused...)
