Chanticleer has packed away it's Winter Overcoat and on March 30th, invites everyone to Opening Day and a new Season of Spring Fever
Tucked away in Philadelphia’s stylish suburban Main Line neighborhood of Wayne, Chanticleer is the 100-year-old former estate of the Rosengarten family. This 35-acre Pleasure Garden is divided into distinct areas such as The Gravel Garden, The Ruin, and Asian Woods, each offering a different experience to visitors.

This winter the staff worked hard snow-blowing the paths, shoveling snow that has slipped off the greenhouses (photo below) and developing new plantings.

In a few weeks Spring will explode in an abundance of tulips, rhododendrons and magnolias, and until then...

Staff gardeners are busy planting, pruning, building, nurturing and expanding their amazing garden...touted by National Geographic Traveler Magazine as one of North America's Most Beautiful Secret Gardens!

What else have the staff gardeners been up to? They've written a book offering secrets and tips that novice gardeners can use in their own gardens!

The Art of Gardening
Whether you’re already under Chanticleer’s spell or have yet to visit, The Art of Gardening will enable you to bring the special magic that pervades this artful garden into your own home landscape.
