Pick your favorite sun-ripened treasures right out of the field, or buy them freshly packaged or magically turned into delish jams, cakes and pies.  But don't be surprised if you catch an accidental elbow from fellow fruit lovers from as far away as NY, Jersey, and Delaware. And the crowds are even bigger for Linvilla's special events and festivals like Pumpkinland, Bunnyland, weekend-long Classic Car Shows and more. Linvilla Orchards in Media

But there's nothing like APPLE FEST!

  • Music & crafts by Makin Music
  • Apple tastings all day so you can find your perfect apple!
  • Starting at 8am you can go into the farm and pick your own apples, fresh fruits & vegetables
  • PLUS their famous Pumpkinland Harvest Festival will be in full swing with costumed characters, games, hayrides, contests and live music

However the hootin’ and hollerin’ really starts at their famous Apple Pie Eating Contest - a rare and wonderful opportunity to plunge your face into a luscious, home baked apple-pie.

Mmmm. A little sweet..a little tart...buttery flakiness on top.....cinnaminny gooeyness inside...just thinking about it makes me want to rip open mom’s recipe box!

  • Register for the contest at the farm on the day of the event, any time after noon. But so many people sign up that final entrants are picked out of a hat just before the event.
  • There are 5 age brackets from ages 8&9 to 18 and over.
  • The competitions are 1 minute long in the youth categories, 2 minutes for adults.
  • When time is up, each plate is weighed and whoever ate the most pie in each bracket wins the Championship Title and a $25 Gift Certificate.
(I confess, I’d probably use it to buy another pie at their bakery...)
